Hartland Sportman's Club

Proud member of the N.R.A. since 1965

Hartland Sportsman’s Club is located on Maple Avenue (CTH. “E”) just south of I-94 in the City of Delafield.  Available facilities include ranges for Archery, Rimfire Silhouette and Trap, a 50 yard Pistol and Blackpowder Range and a Rifle Range with firing available at 100 and 200 yards , a Heated Clubhouse with Kitchen facilities and nature walk areas on 35 beautiful acres in Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine area.

The Club was founded in 1948 and operated on rented grounds located north of it’s present location. In 1954 seven members cosigned a loan to purchase the present grounds. The area was originally a gravel pit located just south of the Nickels dump. The property had been used for casual shooting for many years prior to its acquisition by HSC. Range facilities were built over the next few years and in the early 1960’s the present Clubhouse was constructed. In it’s early years HSC raised game birds for stocking, participated in local conservation projects and held an annual Ice fisheree in addition to conducting Trap leagues, running NRA Hunter Education courses and fielding rifle teams for S.W.R.A. rifle and smallbore leagues.

HSC hosts several competitive events each year as well as an Open House, a picnic, hunter education classes and an annual Deer Sight In. Members may use the grounds and clubhouse for picnics, parties and nature walks. We also make our facilities available to area fraternal, civic and youth groups for meetings and related nature or marksmanship classes. Members are encouraged to help with these activities. Members who participate in fraternal, civic or youth groups are encouraged to offer the use of HSC facilities to those groups for appropriate activities.
